My Journey Behind the Lens

I first fell in love with photography in the era of film cameras, where every shot required patience, planning, and a deep understanding of light. That foundational experience shaped how I see the world today—even in our digital age, I approach each frame with the same intention and care as when film was precious and limited.

After a 12-year detour away from my passion (sometimes the words of others can hold more power than they should), I finally found the courage to embrace my talent and share it with the world. Now, I can’t imagine doing anything else but capturing the authentic moments that make up our lives.

Rooted in the Sierra Nevada

As someone who grew up in South Lake Tahoe and has called Incline Village, Truckee, and now Reno home, I bring an intimate knowledge of our region’s most stunning locations. I know exactly where to catch that perfect alpenglow on Mt. Rose, which hidden beaches offer the most dramatic Tahoe shorelines, and how Nevada’s desert light creates magic during golden hour.

This isn’t just where I work—it’s where I’ve raised my three amazing children, built community connections, and developed my eye for the unique beauty of the Sierra Nevada.

My camera has been my passport to experiencing the world differently. From wandering through the historic streets of Amsterdam to camping under the stars in Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert, from exploring the ancient wonders of Egypt to connecting with communities in Israel—these experiences have expanded my artistic vision and taught me to find beauty in diverse landscapes and cultures.

I bring this global perspective to every local shoot, whether it’s a wedding at Lake Tahoe, senior portraits in downtown Reno, or real estate photography in Truckee.
